The Easiest Sauce You'll Ever Make

I personally can't handle much heat, but my taste buds love the chili flavor of sriracha sauce.  I'm dreaming about next drizzling this sriracha/butter combo over red snapper or steak.

Ingredients:
  • Large shrimp (I used frozen which I rinsed and drained)
  • Butter
  • Sriracha

Directions:

  1. Over medium-high heat, melt butter in a saute pan or wok.
  2. When melted butter begins to froth, add shrimp and saute until just barely translucent.
  3. Add sriracha to taste, stir to combine.
  4. Serve immediately over hot pasta or rice.

Other suggestions: throw in some chopped cilantro, parmesan, orange zest, broccoli, garlic, bell peppers...

  1. I made this tonight and it was super delicious! Added bell peppers :) Any tips for thickening the sauce?

Also, would these flavors work well with salmon? I have tons of salmon and no idea what to do with it. :p

  2. Thickening: at the end, with the heat still on, add flour to the shrimp in the pan. Cornstarch dissolved in cold water will work, too. Whichever method you choose, it's best to add a little at a time, cooking in between, until you get the consistency you like.

Sriracha and butter on salmon sounds yummy! Let me know how that turns out. :) Let me get my thoughts together and I'll post some salmon ideas for ya.
